Challenge #23

Good Afternoon,

& welcome to the New Bee Crafty Challenge.

You may or may have not seenon our facebook page and other forums that we have been requested to give challengers some more time to complete challenges so The Tuesday Challenge will now be launched on the first Tuesday of the month and last until the first Tuesday of the following month. Now befor you mention it I know today is the second Tuesday of the Month but I was off on my Jollydays last week to the beautiful Cornish Countryside but now I'm back and want to see what you can do.

As the challenge now gives you a month to enter, you can enter as many times as you like and the prizes will be bigger and better.

Challenge #23
A Fabulous Sketchie

The fantastic thing about sketchies is you can apply them to anything pages, book covers, altered items and cards, we have put together a few samples for you to kick start your mojo

Julie has made this gorgeous sample using Cherry Cupcake Papers, Mia & Cupcake Stamp coloured with ProMarkers, and the fabulous Candi


This is an easel card with the Wild Rose Studio Classy Lady Stamp, Coloured with ProMarkers layer up and onto a Craftwork Cards On The Edge Card (Scallop), with Card Candi to embellish and Adhesive Gems to finish




I have also decorate a small ATC tin still using the sketch. I have stamped on a background using black Memento Ink, also Card Candi for the dots and More adhesive Gems. The butterfly is one of  our large Butterfly with Clips but I have detached the Wings from the body so I could give it a nice big gem instead :)


So I hope that helps, we can't wait to see your projects whatever they may be have fun :)

Challenge #22

Afternoon Challengers,

Sorry for the delay a very manic fortnight has just gone by, Julie has made us a gorgeous new sample for this weeks challenge



Challenge#22 ~ 2 Different Folds
So this challenge can be thrown WIDE open for cards , layouts following a similar theme or altered projects (maybe a multi fold book)


Julie has used the gorgeous Cherry Cupcake 6x6 Paper Stack by Wild Rose plus stash from her own scraps box and one of the most wonderful Stampendous stamps.

Challenge #21

Afternoon Challengers,

I am a little bit later coming to you today as show preparation for the weekend has me slighlty carried away PLUS preparing for Craft and Cake and the Evening Craft/Crop on Thursday, I LOVE IT.

Can you believe we are in April already, the 1st quarter has disappeared and everything is starting to look green and lovely and also I can't believe we are already on Challenge #21 doesn't time fly when you are enjoying yourself

21 has some very important facts associated with it
Also it is the age I would still like to be and the age I got a big silver key off my nan for my birthday so with that in mind

Challenge#21 ~ Key to the Door
So this challenge can be thrown WIDE open for cards you can have 21st Birthday, 21st Anniversary, Moving House etc etc, layouts following a similar theme or altered projects (maybe even a key)

Challenge #20

Good Morning Challengers,

It would appear that you have all been out this week enjoying the glorious spring weather, we have too, Julie and I have sat outside the shop most days to have our lunch over the past week as the warmth and sunshine has just been to beautiful to ignore. I have even managed to get a little toasted this weekend whilst at the allotment and that has inturn inspired this weeks challenge (no the challenge isn't sunburn)

Challenge #20: SPRING HAS SPRUNG
As with all of our challenges there is room for interpretation and you can use spring colours, flowers, easter, bunnies, sheep, there is a myriad of of projects you can make with this weeks topic, and remember it DOESN'T have to be a card. It can be a layout, altered project, mini book whatever you want.

Julie has made a lovely card sample for this weeks challenge however I forgot my camera so I have scanned and cleaned it up as best I can but it really doesn't do it justice and I will try to take a better photo when I get home PLUS it is of course available to view in the shop.

She has used some of the gorgeous new build a blossoms (these are available in store and online PLUS we have samples of the made up flowers our shop or there are examples of projects using them on our facebook page

Challenge #19

Good Morning Challengers, I sat down last night and had a good card making session for the first time in ages, it was so much fun. So this weeks sample is by me as I have made several cards this week all of which I am really happy with (will put some piccy's on the facebook page later). They are are more simplistic than the style of late with matting, layering and some simple embellishments. We are having another very busy week at the hive. Julie is making up some in store La Pashe Build a Blossom samples as I speak and we're going to be putting together some samples of the NEW Wild Rose Mia, I will do the ProMarking and Julie will put them together onto some fabulous samples.

We have an Evening Crafting Session 7pm - 10pm on Thursday Only £2.50, which I am really looking forward to as I feel I have recaptured my card making mojo, and there is still so much more just in and just coming in
So on to the challenge,

Challenge #19: A SKETCH
We love sketches, they are a great way to get you back in your crafting saddle or, if your going through one of your busy card making times and you need something to help you come up with an idea quickly a sketch is a great place to start.
You can interpret it however you like, rotate it, improve it, go with it. This weeks sketch would be great for easel cards and scrapbook pages so have fun.


Here is my sample to get those creative mojos going.

Challenge #18

Good Afternoon Challengers, we have had a very busy week at the hive. We had an evening Craft session on Wednesday which was not only fun but Super Tasty as Sam made cakes, Lemon Drizzle and Orange Drizzle yummy yum yum.

We also went to the Craft Show in Malvern, it was a fab three days and we got to talk to loads of lovely crafters who I have to say were very excited about all the lovely NEW Card Candy and the fantastic NEW just an edge cards for craftwork.

and there is still so much more just in and just coming in

So on to the challenge,


Challenge #18: Cheltenham's Centennial Festival
The Festival 2011 at Cheltenham marks 100 years of the most exciting and prestigious event in Jump racing's calendar.
So get in the festival spirit and make a FESTIVAL card, or even a horsey one, just make whatever comes into your head

Sam has come up with a fabby sample to get those creative mojos going.
Using one of the New On the Edge Cards from Craftwork, some buting and some inked up delicious card candi's,
and how about this project by Ange Lee, using her Tatty Button Stamps

Wowee what a fortnight, I have been sooooo preoccupied by our lovely NEW goodies arriving from the trade show I forgot to Challenge you all, terrible I know but wow have you seen some of these new goodies.
